Mr. Chernack has a wide range of experience handling litigation matters before numerous courts including the United States Supreme Court, various federal and state trial courts, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts. His practice has primarily focused on products litigation with a particular emphasis on pharmaceutical products liability cases. Mr. Chernack has represented a vaccine manufacturer in defending numerous lawsuits brought throughout the United States. As part of this representation, he has second chaired a three weeks in state court in Missouri and has drafted various appellate and trial briefs. Mr. Chernack has appeared at multiple hearings, taken and defended expert and fact witness depositions, drafted Daubert motions, and worked in every aspect of trial preparation. In addition, Mr. Chernack has handled numerous other complex civil litigation matters including creditor protection in bankruptcy proceedings and has handled pro bono several criminal matters. Mr. Chernack has also advised clients regarding regulatory compliance issues involving consumer products and medical devices. Mr. Chernack served as law clerk to the Honorable Ralph K. Winter, Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein, Senior Judge, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He served as a judge for The George Washington University Law School's 2008-09 Van Vleck Moot Court Competition. He served as an Articles Editor of the Yale Law Journal and is President of the Board of the D.C. Public Library Foundation.
