Highlights of the design include a custom onyx reception desk created as a one-of-a-kind piece of sculpture; a seven-room conference center with sweeping views of downtown D.C. and Franklin Square Park; a mock courtroom; and a dramatic employee café incorporating a curved grid tin ceiling which stretches the length of the room. Don Fowler, Managing Partner for the Firm states: "The design represents who we are as a Firm both aesthetically and functionally. Using cutting edge technology as both a design statement and a way for people to work and interact was very important to us. We also wanted to design unique spaces where people could physically come together to interact and collaborate. And, from a purely aesthetic reaction, it's so fulfilling to hear people say 'Wow!' when they enter the space. We get that a lot!"

Davis Carter Scott received the Bronze Award for Commercial Interior Architecture, 20,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet. The project was a 90,000 square foot in-place, phased renovation.
