Jamie Aziz practices in the firm’s Pharmaceutical Products and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, legal research and writing, analysis of information for depositions and discovery, and other tasks relating to the defense of mass tort claims in complex litigation. Jamie’s particular strength is researching and drafting answers to more complicated and unique complaints arising in cases. With a direct and straight forward approach, she is known to reliably exercise good judgment.
Jamie’s previous experience includes analysis of pharmaceutical industry materials in products liability, regulatory approval, and antitrust investigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, she represented small businesses, drafting contracts, negotiating contract disputes, and drafting settlement agreements. In providing volunteer legal services, she also has experience writing appellate briefs in criminal cases before the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Jamie received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was Associate Editor of the Michigan State Law Review. She was the Founder and a Board Member of the American Constitution Society of MSU. Jamie graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Spanish.
Jamie finds a reprieve from the rigors of law on her family-owned farm and animal rescue sanctuary for abused and neglected farm animals. It is here that she embraces a different kind of challenge and pours her energy and passion into infusing new life into disadvantaged animals.
