Caitlyn E. Kretzschmar practices in the Firm’s Complex Litigation, Government Contracts, Insurance, Pharmaceutical Products, and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. She has extensive experience with complex contractual disputes and evaluating complex agreements, which includes advising government contractors on government contract rights and obligations and requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. She is well-versed in the review and analysis of corporate documents to formulate case strategy, as well as conducting in-depth fact investigations and witness preparation. She has experience running all aspects of discovery, including preparing written discovery, conducting custodian interviews and document collection, conducting privileged assessments, and managing document production. She currently serves as a trial team member for a multi-party complex engineering and construction matter pending trial in Arkansas Circuit Court, involving a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor and the construction of a nearly $1 billion agrochemical plant.

Ms. Kretzschmar received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where she was Executive Articles Editor on the AIPLA Quarterly Journal, a Member of the Moot Court Board, a Member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Board, and Co-Director of Events of the Law Association for Women.

During law school, Ms. Kretzschmar worked as a Legal Intern at the District of Columbia Department of Health, Office of the General Counsel. Her responsibilities included drafting memoranda detailing personal and corporate failure to comply with the District’s Certificate of Need and Delayed Birth Certificate regulations, and research and development of effective policies to ensure health and prosperity of the District’s dialysis patients.

Ms. Kretzschmar graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego, with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology. She was a member of the Firm’s 2019 Summer Associate class.
