Mallory Phares recognizes every case is a story and all stories have multiple sides. It is with this understanding that she brings a strong empathetic and patient point of view to her clients’ cases. Practicing in the firm’s Pharmaceutical Products and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups, Mallory is a member of the firm’s discovery team where her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the identification, review, and production of electronic documents for the firm’s major products liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical, and other complex litigation. The team ensures that all document productions meet the new E-Discovery rules as well as the firm’s exacting QA and QC standards.

Prior to joining the discovery team, Mallory worked with a team representing a producer of PTFE and silicone coated fabrics, tapes, and belts, defending against claims of negligence, trespass, and nuisance for its use and handling of materials containing trace amounts of PFOA. She has previously worked on the firm’s answer team, where her responsibilities included legal research and writing, analysis of information for depositions and discovery, drafting and reviewing pleadings, and other tasks relating to the defense of mass tort claims in complex litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Mallory served as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Programs Branch, where she primarily worked on major constitutional issues. She also has experience in antitrust litigation, family law, and criminal law. Her love of animals led to a previous position as Animal Cruelty Intern at the Harris County District Attorney’s office in Houston, as well as past volunteer positions at the National Aquarium and The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Mallory received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and her B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Houston.
