Lauren C. Prease is a Staff Attorney practicing in the Firm’s Pharmaceutical Products and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, legal research and writing, analysis of information for depositions and discovery, and other tasks relating to the defense of mass tort claims in complex litigation.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Prease worked on a variety of litigation matters, including pharmaceutical claims, product safety violations, financial practice disputes, and congressional challenges to contract bids. She has experience in multiple aspects of document review, as well as drafting motions, orders, and memoranda. After law school she worked as a Post-Graduate Intern to The Honorable Erik P. Christian of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and subsequently as a Law Clerk to The Honorable Brian F. Holeman also of the D.C. Superior Court.
Ms. Prease received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where she participated in mock trial competition and served as the 1L Coordinator of the Black Law Students Association. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. During her career at Notre Dame, she served in three different offices of the NAACP, including a one-year term as Vice President.
